4 Steps To Life Changing Success

Ultimately you are responsible for achieving the body and life of your dreams. Despite feeling discouraged or doubting yourself, you do have what it takes!  It may sound a little silly but I often tell myself, “if it is to be..it’s up to me”, especially when facing big life challenges. In fact, it’s in times of great adversity that many women break through to life changing transformation

  • Maybe you’re secretly dreading another year of struggling with your weight. You know deep down things have to change…but you feel helpless — stuck on the same old cycle of dysfunctional eating.
  • Maybe you’re mentally and physically exhausted, tired of always being last on the list. You just can’t keep giving out, even to those you love. You know something has to change but you don’t know how.
  • Maybe you know you’ve got a better body inside you, just waiting to be unleashed; but you’ve tried in the past and failed, you’ve worn yourself into the ground with exercise – and nothing’s changed.
  • Maybe you feel trapped in an unhappy relationship, unable to see way out despite the toll it’s taking on your self esteem and your health.
  • Maybe you have a dream but you’re afraid to take the first step and to let go of what’s familiar; to challenge yourself and the expectations of those around you.

If so, then you’re ready to experience life changing success!  Here are 4 steps that will help shine the light on your path ahead.

Step 1: Learn To Trust Yourself Again

shutterstock_49617541We are all born with an innate belief in ourselves and our abilities. But over time as we fail, as we misjudge, even as we are betrayed…life erodes our confidence. We begin to doubt. We second guess. We lose faith in our ability to make the right decisions. I’ve been there and it’s a horrible place.

So the first step is to take a deep breath — and let the failures, disappointments and hurts of the past go. You do have what it takes inside you…you just need listen to that quiet, inner voice — gently guiding you in the right direction. Once you tune in and start believing in yourself again — the sky is the limit.

Step 2: Let Go Of Labels

shutterstock_98386478Many women don’t realize how the stereotypes of society and the expectations of others deeply influence what we believe is possible, for ourselves and our lives. Think about it.

  • I’m a wife.
  • I’m a mother.
  • I’m not educated.
  • I’m sick.
  • I’m unemployed.
  • I’m gay.
  • I’m divorced.

These are labels that come with insidious stereotypes that create self-limiting beliefs. It’s not until you take a big step back that you realize how much they’ve been affecting your decisions in life.

It takes tremendous courage, but you can do it. Let go of the labels. Stop worrying about what people think. Refuse to let the beliefs of others about what’s right for you be your belief system. Be your own person and watch how your life starts to miraculously change for the better.

Step 3: Believe In The Ripple Effect

rippleWhen we’re faced with radical change it’s easy to get discouraged before we even start. It looks like such a massive mountain to climb. But that’s only because we’re looking at it from the outside. We need to look inside ourselves and start believing in the ripple effect.

Just one tiny mental adjustment…just one positive change in your daily habits will begin a chain reaction of change throughout your entire body and life. The course of your destiny can be changed forever with just one decision! Radical change doesn’t happen overnight. It happens incrementally, through making one positive change after another. Brick upon brick, building your new life.

People often ask me how I transformed my body from being overweight, cellulite ridden and chronically unfit in my early 40’s. It was simply through the ripple effect. Making one positive change..and sticking with it. Then another. In fact, my physical transformation happened almost without me realizing because I was so focused on following the path I’d set out for myself. The path I’d made with my “plan”.

Step 4: Have A Plan

shutterstock_199724069This is where most people fail, so listen closely. You can’t fly by the seat of your pants and expect to arrive at your destination. You can’t “wing it” and expect to win. You can’t hope for the best and think everything will work out OK. If you’re honest with yourself..this is probably the main reason you’ve failed in the past. Let me explain why.

  • A plan helps you stay on track.

A plan is your life map. Imagine trying to fly an airplane without a navigation system? Any storm that comes by will throw you off course. You’ll lose altitude and not even know it.  Why are you trying to fly the skies of your life without a plan? A plan keeps you on track and guides you through the ups and downs of life. Even just writing a few goals down is a powerful first step. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found an old notebook with scribbled down dreams and goals, only to realize I achieved them all…long ago. There is something powerful about committing your plan to paper — your subconscious gets busy working out a way to make it happen!

  • A plan helps focus your energy on what’s most important.

Life is full of distractions — it’s easy to avoid doing the things we should, because we’re “too busy”. There’s a temptation to put our efforts into the easier things, instead of what will really make a difference. A plan calls you on it and get’s you back on track.

  • A plan helps remind you of the “why”.

Ask yourself, how badly do you want a better life? What are you prepared to do to get there? Think about it. Now when things get tough, remind yourself of how much you want this…remind yourself of the “why”; a plan helps you never, ever, ever give up.

As a transformation coach I’ve worked with thousands of women around the world to achieve radical life change. I’d like to share just two inspiring examples of how these 4 Steps can work for you, just like it’s worked for these two beautiful women below and way more.

Jennifer is 50. She came to me last year and through my Super Sexy Skin Program. Little did we know that just a few weeks into it, her brother would be diagnosed with cancer and it would require her to travel half way across the world to support her family during the crisis.

Sweet, beautiful Jen recently emailed me with this gorgeous photo and an update.

“It certainly was a low point in my life. BUT! I kept up my skin care routine, ate healthy, didn’t drink or numb myself with sugar. I didn’t get much sleep, but I did my best not to let it ruin me. Now I actually feel great. My brother is going to make it. I started my own business and I am excited about the future. Life is fun.

Again, I want to thank you, Bel, for your skin program and even more for taking the time to write to me and care about my life. You are amazing.”

And then there is the strong and inspiring Susan, she’s 41. Susan started my Get Lean Program last year. I’ll let her tell her story.

“I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s (Autoimmmune Thyroid condition). I had gained 10 pounds in a couple of months. At the same time, my ex husband “leveraged” himself out of the marriage which wreaked havoc on my stress and made the adrenal issues worse.

As you know with thyroid and adrenal issues, weight management and exercise is a challenge. Your program gave me a way out. By improving my strength and reducing my cardio it made my body stronger so that my adrenals weren’t taxed. I also feel your unique approach to nutrition gave me all the nutrients I needed in a well rounded and yummy format. I had removed dairy (yogurt) which turns out to really help my digestive track.

Your program was the missing link to supporting my body and giving me the platform to push myself.”

Are you ready for life changing success in 2016?

Well let’s get serious about it! Learn to trust yourself, believe that change really is possible, let go of the expectations of others and be your own person, believe in the ripple effect — that positive change, no matter how small, will make a difference AND have plan!

This is how YOU can work with me in 2016 to achieve life-changing success.

I’m a mother of 2 and wife at 42 year of age. I’ve always wanted to enter a fitness competition and I have decided that this year is the year I will begin the journey to achieve this goal (Bucket List)

I would love any pointers you could share with me to help me reach this goal. I’m currently working out at a BootCamp gym here in Ottawa (Ottawa Fit Body Bootcamp) 4 days a week, sometimes with bonus days, making it 5 days/week.

Hi Laura, congratulations on your goal – awesome!! Wow, so much advice…but it depends on many factors, the criterion of the fitness competition and your current physique being the starting point. My best recommendation is to find someone local that has experience training competitors and get their evaluation and advice to make a plan. I would leave at least 6 months to prepare if this is your first comp. Good luck and please let me know how everything is going! Bel xoxo

I am very interested in following your program but before I purchase it would like to know of the food program has a vegetarian option and non dairy as well. Thanks

Belinda January 4, 2015 at 8:52 pm

Hi Jacki, lovely to meet you and thanks for posting this question :)

YES! The program does have a vegetarian option. Many women who’ve found it hard to lose weight on the traditional vegetarian diet have achieved excellent results. I am also dairy free: I substitute almond milk and goats milk..but soy is fine too. Once you join, please let me know via my Help Desk, and I’ll send you the extra information regarding the Vegetarian Guide…plus some tips for getting started.
Looking forward to coaching you and making this a great 2015! Bel xo
