Today I’d like to share some life-changing truths from the heart to help you recapture the “real you” again…to look and feel amazing no matter what your age or starting point.

You see I know what it’s like to feel “stuck”.

At 37 I’d never exercised, was overweight and full of cellulite…..and then I found myself suddenly divorced. This unexpected turn of events shocked me into realizing I had lost touch with the real me. I’d pushed my own needs, wants and desires so far down to the bottom of the list that I’d forgotten who I really was and what made me truly happy. And thus began my journey of transformation.

1. Don’t Let The Past Dictate Your Future


By your mid 30’s you’ve probably been through a few cycles of weight loss and weight gain. Changes like having kiddies, illness, a serious accident or simply being super busy means life gets out of balance. We become tired, worn down and stressed – and it’s easy to make poor choices. Then we blame ourselves.

Unless we consciously let go we’ll carry the baggage of these failures. They’ll subconsciously undermine our ability to make the healthy choices we want. We’ll keep on having that extra glass of wine, those evening treats and avoid working out yet again – despite wanting things to be different.

First step. We need to consciously let go of past failures and mistakes and turn the page. Imagine those negative feelings floating away. Allow room for new, fresh and positive thoughts to inspire you as to what’s possible. Take a deep breath and give yourself permission to restart – without the baggage.

2. Stop Comparing Yourself To Others


Don’t let others set YOUR benchmarks. Sure be inspired by before and after photos. But realize that many factors play into the appearance of a woman’s physique including height, muscle type and shape, body fat distribution and bone structure. What matters most of all is our personal starting point and progress towards our individual goals – looking and feeling better as a total person. So focus your energies on being the best version of you. You’ll quickly start feeling a lot happier.

Many women allow a “number” on the scale to sabotage their results and emotionally hold them to ransom. Successful women focus on body fat % and lean muscle mass as benchmarks. “The scale” is old school thinking. Body composition is a more accurate way to measure your progress especially when combined with progress photos and measurements.

Juggling multiple responsibilities means our needs often get pushed to the bottom of the list. Unless YOU-TIME is scheduled this will remain the status quo. It’s OK to put yourself at the top of the list at least some of the time. A healthier happier YOU means a healthier happier relationship, family and working environment. You deserve this time. You deserve to look and feel great.

2. Understand Your Self-Reward Hard-Wiring


Positive actions when reinforced with rewards lead to results. But we all are hard-wired a little differently. Stop and think about what makes you feel motivated. What intrinsic (internal) achievements motivate you? Maybe it’s that sense of accomplishment from finishing a workout, mastering a new exercise, or cooking a super healthy and delicious meal – for you and the family. Tap into those emotions and consciously focus on achieving those goals. These good feelings will boost your self-confidence and fuel your progress.

3. Slow Down For Speed Bumps


As women in a modern world we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to achieve and succeed. When unexpected things derail us instead of slowing down to assess what’s gone wrong – we willy-nilly increase our efforts. This leads to feeling exhausted and frustrated. When things go wrong, be gentle on yourself. Don’t punish yourself by pushing harder. Take a step back, take a deep breath and allow yourself a little time and space to reassess.

Hi Bel , I have followed u and have done most, I eat very well , love working out , do weight training, hitt training, every thing possible, I have my own gym at home , my biggest battle is my inner legs , for the life of me , everything changes but not them , I get depressed about them because everything else loooks great I have muscle tone and I’m not the big of a girl , I only wish before I leave this earth that I can have my dream leg . I’m 43 and heathy has .. my legs are my demen ?

Hello Belinda!
I’m 36 years old (5 ft 5″, 180 lbs) and while I’m an not obese, I am out of shape and flabby.
I was working out 4x a week 5 years ago, but then came my 4 children. I have not been active in approx 2 years, but I just started a ‘couch to 5k’ program last week.
I don’t care how much I weigh, but I would like to lose fat, tone up, and decrease my cellulite.
My hubby scoffed when I told him that a program like yours would get rid of cellulite. I want to prove him wrong!!
My ideation is: what options/package do I purchase from you? I’d like: exercises for cellulite, your meal plan/food info, any other info relating to becoming lean. Also, would you suggest Joey’s exercises be done in tandem with your program or are yours sufficient?
