Discover your inner diva (for girls only)

There was a time when I would look at strong, confident and independent women and wonder how they did it.

They didn’t seem to care too much what the world thought of them and walked tall and proud.

As someone who lived by all the “should be and should dos” in life, I was secretly jealous of these women.

But I had no idea how to change.

It all started with my inner diva!

Unfortunately the word diva has a bad rap these days. It calls to mind someone who wants to be the center of attention and is hard to deal with. But the origin of the word comes from the Latin and means “goddess.”

Female opera singers are called Divas but these days a diva is a person (most likely a female) who defines their own journey and destiny, and is not ashamed to be themselves at all times.

We all have that divine spark inside us.

Discovering your inner diva is about getting in touch with the real you – your desires, goals, dreams, what gets your heart racing, what stirs you up to take on new challenges. Sometimes with all the responsibilities of life we lose touch with ourselves, so caught up in what everyone else is expecting us to be.

It’s time to start doing a little soul searching.

Think back to your childhood. What got you excited?

What were your dreams?

What did you absolutely love doing?

I bet you still get a little smile on your face when you think about it.

Discovering your inner diva is giving yourself permission to be you, the real you!

Always remember that being a diva isn’t about being selfish or self-centred. It’s about valuing yourself enough to stand up for what you believe in rather than letting others decide what’s best. We can go on a diet, workout, change our make up and hair but real lasting change starts from within. Start discovering your inner diva today!

You are beautiful, you are strong, you are capable – just give yourself a chance, believe you have that divine diva spark on the inside and let her out!

Thank you so much for this blog. I have always, for such a long time, felt like I have been living for everybody else. My mum, my husband and my children and been guided by everything they say especially my mum who is always telling me that I should just be happy with what I have and that I should work within my limitations. I have always worked out and been very healthy with my lifestyle but feel kind of trapped. I work at a job than is very very stressful, I don’t feel any passion about at all and really am only here to pay my bills. I think it is time for me step out and fly. Thank you for giving me the confidence to take this step.

You know, I have been in your shoes and I can honestly say, although it’s scary – stepping out, being true to yourself and taking those risks….has always paid off. The road may be a little rougher but in the long run, your personal happiness and quality of life will be way beyond what you could imagine right now. Go for it!

I am Whole, Perfect, Strong, Powerful, Loving, Harmonious and Happy.
I love this affirmation Belinda, because it covers every aspect of our lives.
So many people don’t know what they are capable of because they listen to others telling them what they can and can’t do. The person who achieves or wins, does so because they think they can and are willing to try. And we all have the power and strength inside ourselves to fulfill our dreams.
You are right, we just have to give ourselves the chance. We can be, do, and have whatever we want! 😀

Thank you so much to share with all of us…… It makes me think that my decision was the right one when I decided 2 years ago to get back in shape after 2 pregnancies (1 in 2003 and one in 2005)…… All people around me was laughing about my decision because to their eyes it’s not possible to manage your shape, your little ones, your house etc….. I decided that would be possible…… and I did it…..
Today I want to go a step higher and decided to have the body that I always wanted….. Sculpted legs (Quads) Defined abs and share my experience with my members….. but also (and please don’t laugh) have the time to take some rest just for me, because I deserve it……. and naturally living my life as and do with my life and my children a rainbow………

Isn’t it the best feeling when you prove people wrong in a good way? It’s the story of my life really. And it’s even more awesome to see you using that energy to set the bar higher Lucile – go for it! Making time just for you is critical to success – to re-energize and renew. Wishing all the best on the next phase of your journey. xoxo
