Today I want to talk to you about The Mid-Life Tipping Point.

The crossroads we all reach sometime after the age of 40.

Where your body has changed and life is very different now.

But despite being in amazing shape, just after this photo was taken I began struggling with peri-menopause.

At 40, 50 and beyond, life is very different than when we where younger.

We have more commitments and less time.

There is more pressure to juggle everything while being the perfect partner, mother and career woman.

Ask yourself….

Do you feel stressed, stretched and overworked?

Are you questioning your life and career choices?

Are you reaching for that second glass of wine to take the edge off the day…every night?

Do you feel under pressure to conform to the wants of others all the time?

Are you feeling anxious about “getting older”?

Do you have niggling self-doubts that undermine your confidence?

~ These are all signs that you’re in the mid-life transition ~

Not a mid-life crisis but rather a search for your identity.

And the truth is, coping with this phase of your life is made so much more difficult by your changing hormones.

Most women don’t realize that from the age of 35 to 50 estrogen drops by 35% and progesterone and testosterone drop by by 75%.

This massive hormonal shift changes the biochemistry of your body and causes many difficult symptoms.

For many of us by the time we’re hitting the wall these changes have been underway for many years.

This is why what used to work doesn’t anymore and why your old tricks for losing weight seem to be making things worse.

Common mistakes are going low calorie, low carb, low fat, high fat, intermittent fasting, cleanses, liquid diets that strip your body of vital nutrients or trying to compensate for the weight gain by doing lots of cardio like running, gym machines or spin classes.

All of these stress your body and mess with your hormones, making things even harder.

Here’s the big thing I want you to get ahold of today.

You need to do things differently because your body has changed….

You need to eat in sync with your hormonal cycle so food is turned to energy not fat.

You need to do body-friendly female specific exercise that burns fat while boosting energy.

You need simple daily habits that lower cortisol to manage stress and help you sleep better.

The mid-life tipping point doesn’t mean you have to accept from here things are all downhill.

In fact this can be the beginning of your best years.

It’s simply about doing the right things for your body, for this phase of your life.

Many women mid-life are held back from reaching their full potential by beliefs they’ve held for a long time, yet never really examined closely…..

> Beliefs about what women of a certain age should look and act like.

> Beliefs about what you’re capable of.

> Beliefs about your body and attractiveness.

> Beliefs about your future…

Stop and think about it.

What caused you to believe this in the first place? How long ago was that, really?

Have things changed since then and what evidence do you have it might not be true?

You may discover some belief “strong-holds” that have been sabotaging your happiness.

Right now, don’t try and “work it all out”.

Just put that self-limiting belief “on pause”.

And imagine how life could be different for you…
